Croc Valley Camp is for the budget traveller, and a quaint new exclusive tourist facility opened in February, 2005 , an oasis of calm, beauty and diversity.  Our on-suite Chalets on stilts,  build from local materials perfectly in tune with the environment, is set in quiet surroundings and spaced for maximum privacy, combine luxury and comfort with a classic wilderness experience. (Self-catering facilities available) and open throughout the year.

Throughout your stay, our chef’s provide delicious meals and snacks from original recipes, using fresh fruits, vegetables and dairy products to ensure fresh ingredients for your meticulously prepared meals. Should you have any specific dietary requirements or have a special anniversary, we can arrange it but will need to have the information in advance. We feel that communication is essential to us in order to give you what you want.

At brunch you will be delighted by iridescent birds, at dinner you may be entertained by a passing group of elephants,. Rest you eyes on a near tree or the distant view. Sights abound, so do sounds. Listen to the murmurs of a million birds greeting the sunrise, Don’t expect five stars. From our campfire, you will see millions!

Our Camp has an enticingly clean “hippo friendly” swimming pool on the river to provide relief during the hot midday hours while watching the hippos and crocs also cooling off from the hot African sun (We do ask them to stay in the river for this but it has been known!)

Our campsite is well catered for campers and overland trucks with parking areas and shelter to cook under,  fire places, power points, hot showers, restaurant and bar which is stocked with ice-cold drinks to replenish that thirst, and plenty of fresh drinking water.

Unlike other properties where regimented game activities are prioritized, Croc Valley offer guests the choice of just taking time out or join in one of the other safari activities offered.

·          Game Drives    Take a morning or night drive, or both  (open game vehicle) and watch the antelopes, elephant, zebra, warthog, lion, leopard, abundance of beautiful birds and our very own Thornicroft giraffe, which is found nowhere else, and listen to the noisy chorus of the plentiful hippo who make the Luangwa River their home, as do the gigantic croc’s, with resident professional guides whose intimate knowledge will make for an unforgettable experience.
